child proofing a chain link fence
We have a chain link fencer around our backyard, which we secured ("locked") with bungee cords. This worked great, and we allowed ds to roam the backyard. Well, he's now figured out how to take them off and escapes. We need something more secure asap.
I have looked at the kind of locks like this: http://www.hooverfence.com/catalog/cpage32.htm My concern is that, at least on one side, I'm pretty sure ds could reach the top of it to push it down. He's pretty tall, and the fence is not all that high. We also have some utilities in our backyard, which mean that we have repair people coming at unexpected times into our backyard to work on it. We haven't had problems with the bungee cords, fortunately, but we have to make sure it's something other people can open and close. So nothing like a lock with a key or combination. Do we have any other options? I'm afraid ds is going to figure out a way to push the lock open in the link and get the door open. We have two doors, so we need two different locks.
