Thank goodness for my brother's gf!

Monday, I was at my father's funeral. My 2-year-old nephew, Christian, was being whiny and fussy -- not surprising, since it was a three-and-a-half-hour drive for them, and he was around a lot of new people. My brother said, "Why don't you just spank him or something?" His girlfriend (Christian's mom) snapped, "Oh, THAT will help things!" I was so proud of her! They are both just 21, and while my brother struggles a bit with being a dad, Lynn is an awesome mom.

Way to go gf! It always amazes me when people spank their children thinking that that will make them quieter.

Hopefully your brother will learn from his gf.

That must have been wonderful to have that little bonding moment on that issue.

I'm so sorry--I didn't know about your dad. Grace and peace and comfort to you. I lost my dad this year, it's such a big empty feeling.
