Nasi Goering
As requested!
Cook 2-3 cups of rice according to package directions. While it is cooking, saute: 1 medium yellow onion 1 green pepper 1 red pepper 1 clove garlic 1 pound ground beef, or meat of your choice (you could probably do a vegetarian dish too, if you wanted) 3 eggs Add Nasi Goering spice mix package if you have it, available at Dutch stores. If I don't have it, I just salt and pepper to taste, and add some Cajun seaonsing and soya sauce. Mix the cooked rice in with the meat mixture. Fry for a few minutes to fry up the rice. Serve with ketchup and/or soya sauce. Enjoy! This dish takes less than 30 minutes to prepare, and I use it as an "easy" meal. It also falls into the category of comfort food for me! |

Re: Nasi Goering
Thanks. It's kinda like fried rice, isn't it? I'm allergic to eggs so unfortunately I'll have to try it without them. I bet it will still taste good though.
