Need two hat pattern recommendations

My two biggest boys chose yarn yesterday that they want me to make hats (toques) from. They are both bulky weight.

Any tried and true and simple patterns (knit is referred bc I like that better for hats) for an ear flap hat and just a really solid torque with fold up brim?

Have you found a pattern? If not you should poke wonder woman. I have a hat of hers and I am pretty sure it is bulky yarn.

I did get two pattern recommendations.

. Now to see if I can figure them out! I've already started and frogged the first hat once. I'm learning!
