keeping bread fresh
HOw do you keep your bread fresh?
i just made two large loaves of wheat bread and I'm the only one in the house that eats bread. So I want to freeze one loaf but how do you keep the other one fresh? Do you wrap it in foil, a ziplock bag???? store it on the counter or in the fridge? |

Re: keeping bread fresh
A Ziplock bag with the air pressed out of it seems to keep fresh bread for about a week in my house, on the countertop! My kitchen's on the chilly side this time of year, though, so you may want to stick it in the fridge.

Re: keeping bread fresh
I would think so! The only thing that really made bread on the countertop stale around here was when DH accidentally zips a big bubble of air in with the bread. As long as air is out, the bread should be okay!
