Re: Cholrella ... tell me about..
I take 6 grams a day. If you start off with that amount you may have nausea or vomiting. I would start at about 2-3 grams. I think the final dose depends on why you are using it. Higher for detox or weight loss maybe lower for controlling blood sugar. I gave DS about 1500 mg when he took it and it did a fine job.

Re: Chlorella ... tell me about..
I'm thinking the same thing--that it could cause the body to start pulling the metals out. But, if chlorella binds to them and doesn't let them get reabsorbed, I can't see why it would be an issue. If I ever get on a puter, I'll look around.
We happen to have some in the house so I started taking it last night. So what are the main differences between chlorella and spirulina? Cobluegirl-- I saw the mis-spelling and was going to pm the op when I had a chance--I didn't realize the op was you or I wouldve mentioned it in the thread as I know you wouldn't mind. I have to pronounce it slowly--I don't know why it's hard for me to say. Posted via Mobile Device |

It must be "broken cell wall" and not heat treated. Preferably not freeze-dried, either, as that damages some of the nutrients. I'm going online tonight or tomorrow to research some different brands.

Re: Chlorella ... tell me about..
OrganiqueGal-- that's wonderful!
I'm taking Source Naturals Yaeyama chlorella. Don't know if it's the best or not but it seems pretty good. It's working great for now until I can do more research. I got 600 tablets, 200 mg tablets, for $14 at vitacost. So if I take 4g a day, that's $14 a month. I'm not sure how much I should be taking. Some days I take 2g, some days 4g. So, does everyone go to the bathroom a lot when taking it? . Will that diminish after awhile? That first morning after I took it for the first time, I couldn't believe my eyes. Re: Chlorella ... tell me about..
Chlorella and breastfeeding. Justice's poops are green! My milk isn't green so I'm not positive it's the chlorella. I stopped taking it a few days to check and his poops basically went back to yellow. However, I also felt like I was losing my mind. I had zero patience, went from calm to screaming instantly. I felt trapped. I took some chlorella again and felt normal again. What's up w/ that?????
