Your favorite toy that the kids ever had
I need toy/ gift ideas for my to be 18 months old for Christmas. Keep in mind he is number 5 so most toys are been there have that. It can be a grow with him item or grow into item. It doesn't have to be a toy, but something he would use be useful to him. So what is something your kids loved/love that u are so glad they had?

It's so hard with kids that far along... We always struggled with what to get our last.
His fave more expensive but longer term toys include: automoblox playmobil police car, ambulance, pirate ship wooden blocks

Re: Your favorite toy that the kids ever had
We have a beautiful wooden abacus that has always been loved. I think I got it from Island toys are something to that effect. It is large and wooden. It is now a focal point for my newest crawling tot. My three year old loves to count on it. And my early elem kids use it for math. And, it is really pretty to look at.
Another fav toy is a HUGE wooden stacker. My younger ones like to stack it and the older ones use it for building. If you live in a warmer climate, building a really big sand box might be loved. My older kids outgrew sand play until we built a sand box that held two tons of sand...now we have big beach building in the back yard. and, the sit and spin is another favorite here. |

Duploes, wooden train sets, play kitchen. These are the things my daughter has that my 17 month old son loves to play with.

The Leap Frog picnic basket is a good one. The noise it makes isn't very annoying and can be turned off, and the pieces fit easily into the basket so it's easy to tidy up.
Little Adventures makes cool dress ups. Duplos are always a win and there are some fun ones out these days. |

Re: Your favorite toy that the kids ever had
So far we have almost everything mentioned #fifthkidproblems the mag blocks look interesting- are they super safe w here the magnet s would not come out even if he was biting on them? Because he is a big biter of all the things.
Also what are auto blocks? I saw them on Amazon, do u build them?

I like these because they stack and nest but they also snap together as balls and all the balls fit inside each other and they snap together the opposite way too. I think they are really fun. |
