Use it in quiche. (If you make any casseroles, you can add some in to mix things up if it calls for a "cream of soup")

Any flour breads that could use buttermilk can use sour cream.

You can also freeze sour cream if you have freezer space. It will be a little watery when you thaw it, but it is still very usable. I have done this many times in the past.

YES. I went through a phase of loving sour cream with maple syrup, cocoa powder, and coconut. (Has to be good sour cream though.)

One recipe we've liked is bacon and cabbage sautéed, add cooked pasta or egg noodles (or skip that bit), top with many dollops of sour cream, sprinkle with paprika, bake.

Thanks for all the ideas.

I am definitely making sour cream rhubarb crumb cake on Sunday morning. (Benefit of livestream church, don't have to get anyone dressed or in the car, I have time for this!)

I also have a lot of cucumbers so I am going to make my grandmother's cucumber salad (basically it's vinegar, sugar, sour cream, sweet onions, and sliced cucumbers).

I will still have lots left over so I really appreciate all the ideas.

(I cannot fathom eating sour cream like yogurt! )

My mum makes the most amazing potato salad with sour cream.

Cook diced potatoes until just tender allow to almost cool.
Fry diced bacon until crispy.
Chop some hard boiled eggs (optional)
Finely chop some chives.

Mix all together with sour cream. Top with more chopped chives and refrigerate until serving time.

Delicious.

I add it to Mac and Cheese.

https://www.delish.com/cooking/recip...-bread-recipe/

This was surprisingly good

I use it for stroganoff too.

And this --- but I use sour cream instead of yogurt.

Mashed potatoes...

You can freeze it, the texture freaks me out though

I have to say, this is a fun thing to have an accidental abundance of.
