Please Share Frosting Recipes!
I would like to have more frosting options. Please share! I'm esp wanting to learn about non-buttercream frostings (whipped cream frosting?) but am open to yummy buttercream recipes too.

This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE recipe!!! I actually went on the hunt for the perfect frosting earlier this year (cupcakes for Achoo's 1st birthday had to be perfect).

This is a good, not-too-sweet chocolate frosting (which is sort of blasphemy, b/c I am *all about* rich, sugary buttercream - but this is nonetheless really good):
1/2 C sour cream 5oz semi-sweet chocolate chips Melt the chips, remove from heat, stir in the sour cream. We made a double batch with 60% cacao chips, which was too not-sweet  at first, but was *great* the next day - needed to set a bit, I guess  . The buttercream I made yesterday was the same - much better after a few hours had passed.
