help! DH left the soup out overnight without lids on the jars
i have been freezing my soup in big 1.5 Litre jars for when the baby is born (and, now, for during my bedrest...). he helped me make a batch of soup yesterday ( ), and i told him how to put it in the jars, then to leave it for a few hours so that it could cool a bit, then put it in the freezer. well, he filled the jars just fine, but then just covered them with a towel and put the lids on top instead of screwing them on right away. and then they were left out all night. will the soup be okay to eat, or do i need to throw it out? it's just a pureed vegetable soup, by the way - veggie bouillon, onions, garlic, celery, carrots, potatoes, yams, and red peppers.

I've done the same thing before and eaten it. I guess because everything's been cooked, it doesn't seem so dangerous or something.

I'd still eat it, but i'm not terribly careful about those types of things. I've not poisoned myself yet =D
