I know this thread is old, but I am SO excited to try this recipe, and I had never heard of xylitol... I assumed it was yet another artificial sweetener, and I avoid those like the plague... I can't wait to try some in my black tea... That's the one place I'm missing sweeteners...

i stay far away from artificial sweeteners, too... be warned, some people experience, um, digestive issues if they eat too much xylitol...i haven't had a problem, though.

I've seen dark chocolate with xylitol in it, but had NO idea what it was... I knew about the digestive problems, and it causing runs, but never read up on it, cause I thought it was just another artificial sweetener... I had no clue it was a natural sweetener... are there any sources that are more natural than others? Do brands differ?

bumping this

I made this a couple days ago when I was seriously craving chocolate, and it is soooo good! I wish I had some almonds or cashews to add.
