Re: Your best meatloaf recipe
2pounds of ground beef
Salt / pepper to taste 1 cup of either oatmeal, millet flakes or poha 1 large egg 1 -2 jars of baby (gerber or other brand) beef or chicken (it depends on sensory issues and how large of a jar we're talking here. This makes the meatloaf softer) Mix very well. Put ketchup on top, slam in oven at 350° for 60 minutes. |

Re: Your best meatloaf recipe
I hate regular meatloaf, with the warm ketchup on top ...but a few years ago discovered I Italian meatloaf. I can come back with a specific recipe if you're interested...I mix Italian spices, spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and spinach into the loaf, and top it with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella. The original calls for breadcrumbs but I've also used almond meal for a paleo version.

Re: Your best meatloaf recipe
I do an Italian meatloaf! Ground round, italian seasoned breadcrumbs, parmesan, eggs, fresh parsley and basil, garlic if I have it on hand. Everyone in our family enjoys it however someone will typically say, you could've just made spaghetti and meatballs, lol!!

Re: Your best meatloaf recipe
Oooh, we are meatloaf lovers here. I find meatloaf to be one of the most forgiving recipes out there. Lots of personal adaptations and changes are allowed.
Our basic go to is ground beef, chopped onions and garlic, oatmeal, seasoning, and eggs. But I've been known to shake that up in a wide variety of ways.

Re: Your best meatloaf recipe
It's like easier, less labor intensive meatballs

Re: Your best meatloaf recipe
I agree. Just eat it a bite at a time and imagine they are bite size meatballs.

Re: Your best meatloaf recipe
This one!
http://ourbestbites.com/2011/03/glaz...ped-meat-loaf/ Since we are egg and dairy free I swap the yogurt for dairy free yogurt and egg for about a 1/4 apple sauce with a pinch of cinnamon. It is so good and my kids actually ask for it! Like on their birthday they can pick any meal they want (and we budget for take out) and this has been chosen. It makes nice meat balls too. I just broil til they have gone dark and feel a bit firm and simmer in marinara or low for about 30 minutes.
