Re: November's Dinners
No idea. I have laryngitis so I suspect the Sicilian will be making all the meals this weekend. (They got up and did breakfast so early I have no idea what they had.) He asked me to soak some greens in water and baking soda. (Since they won't be home until 4:30) So I have kale going in the sink and red mustard greens in a big bowl.
( Really glad I made almost 4 quarts of broth yesterday. I kinda think I will be having soups and pureed foods for a few days. I can barely swallow--which of course means I seem to be making extra saliva. Lol) |

Re: November's Dinners
Its warming up here in Australia (we had one day last week that was 40c/104F) and we are still in spring . Doesn't bode well for summer
So I'm starting to bring salads back in with a few of our meals....although my DS #2 (18) is tough to convince that salad is actually food

Re: November's Dinners
Chili in the crockpot tonight. I added about 1/3 c of puréed pumpkin and a few shakes of cinnamon along with the usual spices. It was good!

Re: November's Dinners
Today is DD2's birthday and she asked for Lemon Chicken Linguine and Garlic Lemon and Parmesan Roasted Brussel Sprouts. I think I'll make some rolls on the side. For dessert she always wants this Rustic Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake Tart which is super easy and flavorful.

Lentil soup in the slow cooker tonight - a favourite of mine because I can throw everything in and just leave it!

Re: November's Dinners
(I still have just a whisper voice, but I am feeling *much* better and finally up to cooking again.)
Making a soup with turkey Italian sausage, onions/peppers, and kale... The family will have gnocchi in it (that I am cooking on the side). |

Re: November's Dinners
One of my kids asked for meatloaf. I've made meatloaf maybe twice in my adult life. Just not something I think of. So I made this one and everyone loved it. I didn't use sausage and I used oatmeal instead of bread crumbs (pulsed in the food processor). https://www.loavesanddishes.net/tasty-easy-meatloaf/
