We're having a green salad with chicken, mango, avocado, lime vinaigrette. And maybe some dried cranberries since we just got a care package.

We picked up a bunch of stuff at the farmers market so tonight is roasted broccoli, pink eyed peas, baked potatoes, and apple slices.

Truthfully, I am a little excited about the cold for precisely one and only one reason. Cold weather makes for amazing baking and yummy comfort food dinners.

Tonight was sort of a hodge podge through together menu of things on hand. I fried some ground beef in garlic and onion, added chopped carrots and cabbage. Served over rice or in pita bread for the kids (whatever they preferred) and over zucchini noodles for dh and I. Roasted cabbage and broccoli and sauteed portabello mushrooms on the side. Super delicious. Kids even asked to make up a name for this meal so that they could request it again in the future.

Today we grilled hamburgers and porterhouse steak. Yummy! Sides were roasted veggies (onion, mushroom, broccoli, carrots) and grapes.

I'm off the hook for dinner. Dh took 3 out of 4 kids to Science World. They will likely pick up a drive thru dinner on the way back (6pm with an hour's drive to get home). DD and I are foraging in the fridge for dinner.
