Help me shop for a new comforter?
I need some new bedding. What we have now isn't very old, maybe 1.5 years, but I've never really liked it. I thought I would...but its just so...NOT T1.
This is the set we used to have. I loved the brightness of it when it was new but it dulled out over time. I also loved the feel of it--smooth and great for sensory input. This is our current set. (Not our bed, this is from the packaging.) I really like this set. I like the colors. And it looks happy. But...#1...its not smooth and fun to rub on. #2...they don't sell many pillows to go with it. I could probably track down pillows or fabrics that would coordinate but I'd really rather not have to do so. DH isn't really particular, his only requirement is that he doesn't have to hear me complain about it. So...anyone want to help me?

What color are the walls in your bedroom?

Re: Help me shop for a new comforter?
Blue. But we are moving within the year, so that will be changing.
---------- Post added at 03:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:14 PM ---------- Oh, and I'd prefer a comforter over a quilt because I like the squishiness. (Can you tell I like my sensory input?? ) But I'd be okay with a quilt, too.

Re: Help me shop for a new comforter?
I really like the last set you linked and... it's 100% cotton!!!!! When I was looking for a set I was surprised by how hard it was to find 100% cotton. I would think you could easily find smooth, and silky feeling sheets and pillowcases to coordinate. You might even grow to like the nubby texture of the cover.
I couldn't see the image of the current set you have.

Re: Help me shop for a new comforter?
Oooh, I love that first set for me...or the second set. My walls are green so I could do either. But this is about Tricia's bedroom.
eta: The third set looks the most T1 to me.

Re: Help me shop for a new comforter?
Oh, that third set may be a contender! I like the others...but I prefer a more traditional look. Those are a bit too hip for me. The third one, though, is happy and a very similar look to the Target quilt. On the upper end of my budget but with one of their 20% off coupons....
I'll head to the store tomorrow to see if they have it in stock to look at.

Re: Help me shop for a new comforter?
We like Ikea because they have comforters and comforter covers so you can change out the comforters by season but use the same cover. Also they are fairly inexpensive. Like anything here? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/ca...extiles/10680/
I like all-white bedding, personally- I never get tired of it.
