when do you take your multi-vitamin?
i can't take my multi in the am because that's when i take my synthroid (should take them at least 4 hours apart). So i guess i'm wondering, is there any reason i shouldn't take it at dinner or before bed? (i rarely remember at lunch time.)
Thanks

Re: when do you take your multi-vitamin?
does anyone know any reason why i shouldn't take a multi right before bed? i.e. keeping me awake at night or something like that... ---------- Post added at 03:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:47 PM ---------- here is a link to what's in my vitamin. I just noticed online that it does say to take 1 tablet daily, preferably with morning or mid-day meal... not sure why though. http://www.vitacost.com/Rainbow-Ligh...ngredientFacts

Re: when do you take your multi-vitamin?
I've wondered about this as well. I take mine at night. It's just easier for me to remember and to sleep off any side effects that they may cause (I'm sensitive to most medicines).

Re: when do you take your multi-vitamin?
...I think the iron in the multi interferes with the calcium.
most take their calcium at night because it has a calming effect on most people. Check out the calcium/magnesium thread around here somewhere or check with AlisoninTX

Re: when do you take your multi-vitamin?
I think after a meal is best as it helps them to digest properly. The only thing I have heard is that if you take a higher dose of B vits it can buzz you a bit so you can't sleep. I take my multivit after breakfast but I take a second dose of evening primrose and fish oil with my supper and that seems to work fine.
So maybe I should take my calcium tablet (I recently went dairy free) in the evening too, since there is iron in my multivit? |

Re: when do you take your multi-vitamin?
I take mine at night if I forget during the day (which happens often ). No problems.

Re: when do you take your multi-vitamin?
I have 2 little week-long pill cases.
I put a week's worth of my morning pills in one and same for the evening pills. I very rarely miss taking my pills when I'm suppose to take them.
