It's dried beef. You can usually find it over by the hot dogs. It has nitrates though. I haven't found a non nitrate version.

It ended up being a made up on the fly meal:chicken sautéed in evoo and garlic, sweet onions. Simmered in Sauvignon blanc and butter. Added broccoli, sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, and some rice.

Made up dinner tonight....threw stuff together and it actually came out!

Eggs and potatoes in an 8x8 glass pan (2 shredded potatoes mixed with salt pepper garlic/onion powder and olive oil. Then on top of that I poured 8 beaten eggs and 1 cup of shredded cheese 8 servings)

Then Blueberry Pancake cake in a 9x13 pan (2 cups bisquick, 2 eggs, 1.5 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of butter melted, zest from 1 clementine (cause that's what I had LOL) 1/2 ts of cinnamon. Beat until smooth. Fold in 10oz of frozen (or fresh) blueberries. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. In another bowl combine (oh so scientifically measured) 2 small handfuls of AP flour, 2 FULL handfuls of brown sugar (or equivilant) sprinkle of cinnamon and 1/4 cup of butter softened. mix together until kind of crumbly. Sprinkle on top of batter. Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes. 16 servings...so extras for breakfast!)
