homemade salsa?
Anyone got any recipes? I used to make it by throwing in a little of this and a little of that but I'm out of practice (by 4 years).

Re: homemade salsa?
Here are two of my favorites:
Chili's Salsa Copycat Recipe I don't buy the Rotel tomatoes. I use another can of regular diced canned tomatoes and then a fresh jalapeno for that and the canned jalapeno it calls for (usually one largeish size jalapeno for all of it). For a variation, I've also used the fire-roasted tomatoes by Muir Glen. I also usually add a clove of garlic and, if I have it, a squirt of fresh lime juice. * 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomatoes and green chilies (Rotel) * 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole canned tomatoes (plus the juice) * 4 teaspoons jalapenos (canned, diced, not pickled) * 1/4 cup yellow onion (diced) * 1/2-3/4 teaspoon garlic salt * 1/2 teaspoon cumin * 1/4 teaspoon sugar In food processor place jalapenos and onions. Process for just a few seconds. Add both cans of tomatoes, salt, sugar, and cumin. Process all ingredients until well blended but do not puree. Place in covered container and chill (for better flavor). Roasted Tomato Salsa (I roast for longer than the recipe calls for. I do it on a pretty high heat until they have a decent black char, flip and cook longer. The link has lots of reviews on how others have modified it as well. * 12 roma (plum) tomatoes * 2 cloves garlic, unpeeled * 1 small onion, quartered * 1 jalapeno chile pepper * 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil * 1 teaspoon ground cumin * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice * 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro 1. Preheat the broiler. 2. In a medium baking dish, place roma (plum) tomatoes, garlic, onion and jalapeno chile pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. 3. Checking often, broil 5 to 10 minutes, or until outsides of vegetables are charred. 4. Remove vegetables from heat. Remove and discard tomato cores, jalapeno stem and garlic skins. 5. In a food processor, coarsely chop the charred vegetables. Transfer to a medium bowl and mix in cumin, salt, lime juice and cilantro.
