gift advice for a knitter
My 22 year old niece is a knitter and I'd like to get her something yarny for Christmas. I don't know her level of expertise, I know she has made scarves and some hats. I have a budget of $25. I'd like to get her some really nice yarn and maybe a pattern that would work with the yarn and maybe some of the stick things, too. I have no idea where to begin. Help!

I agree with gift certificate. Yarn is such a personal preference. That being said, craftsy sells some kits (yarn and pattern) that might work for you.

Re: gift advice for a knitter
I got my mom a knit crate for her birthday. They have subscriptions as well as kits. My mom said the yarn was very nice.

Re: gift advice for a knitter
google "magic ball of yarn" those are always super fun, and you could do a nice one for that amount.
a few nice stitch markers, some nicer yarn, a pattern, and the needles recommended for the pattern. if you want ideas of what she would/ could knit you can ask her mom too if she knows what level. otherwise i'm sure a bunch of us could come up with some ideas
