We Choose Virtues?
Have any of you used this? I'm interested in opinions.
I recently got a chance to write a review for them. My review was less than glowing, unlike most of the other reviewers. What do you think? http://peaceoftheprairies.blogspot.c...es-review.html

Never heard of it before, and honestly I have not looked at your link yet, but I thought I would bump this for you.

Re: We Choose Virtues?
I've heard of it, though I haven't seen in in person yet. Thanks for sharing your review. I wondered about the "guilt" aspect. I wonder if you would consider sharing the verses you chose instead?

Re: We Choose Virtues?
Sure! I'm only through two of them, but I will come up with the rest of the verses and the virtue I feel they represent.

Re: We Choose Virtues?
I have looked at this several times, but each time I ended up not buying it. I had the same issues as you did. It seemed to focus to much on outward changes and not a heart issue. I actually decided to go my own route. I read all about love to my kids out of the Bible and we try to frame our behavior on showing love to others. That aspect has worked better for us.

Re: We Choose Virtues?
I've never used this, but I'm not surprised at your review (and thank you for being so honest!) - I've looked at other "character-based" curricula before, and the shaming/guilt/punitive/outward behavior aspects is almost always there.

We just started using this. I've adapted it for our own family. Mom and Dad are participating too.

Re: We Choose Virtues?
Bumping this up as I've been looking into WCV for September. I'd love to hear from those who have adapted it and how/what you did.
