Gentle potty learning resources?
I feel like we learned about EC too late in the game, and now our son is almost 2 years old. Are there any recommended resources for potty learning? He shows some signs of readiness--lots of interest in the potty and talking about bodily functions, enjoys the potty book we have, stays dry in a diaper for a few hours--but I don't want to rush him.

Re: Gentle potty learning resources?
I'd be interested to know as well.
With my 20 month old, I just set him on the potty a few certain times of day. Sometimes he pees, sometimes he doesn't. I'd like to know if there's something more to do to help him... |

Re: Gentle potty learning resources?
We started with ds1 at that age because he expressed an interest. In fact, he had a 1 month stretch at 22 months when he was mostly in underwear. Then, he wasn't interested for a few months, so we went back to diapers. Then, he was interested again, so we did it again for a little, then he wasn't again, etc. In the last month we have switched to underwear again, and this time I think it will stick. We did do part time EC for his first year or so, so he and I had some idea about his habits, and I know how to clean up messes
Whatever you call it, or however you do it, the key is to be relaxed, make it fun, and be willing to take a break if the child starts resisting.

Re: Gentle potty learning resources?
I liked diaper free before three. We also had a kit that involved signing and trains; I think it was All Aboard the Potty Train? My girls liked it and it was geared towards younger kids.
