Default Raw recipes?!?!

My favorite is Raw Choclate fudge!!!

To taste as I hardly ever use measurements... Just the way I am...

Coconut oil

Raw Honey or Maple Syrup

Raw cacao powder

Almond butter or hemp seed butter

mix it all up real good and stick it in the freezer... you can even put them in little ice trays with shapes.. I use hearts and flowers!!!

This stuff is seriously good... and so good for you...

oh and sometimes I put spirulina or maca or goji berries in it for a good punch of nutrition.

Anyone else care to share?

Where do you find raw almond butter? Did you make it yourself?

Just curious It's illegal to sell raw almonds in the store, so the stuff you buy in the store is actually flash-pasteurized. Yes, they can call it "raw" even though it's not because there is no regulation and the USDA thought it would be too confusing to call it anything but raw I did a truly raw almond buy last November. There's a loophole in the law that allows individuals to buy up to 100 lbs of raw almonds directly from the farmer

Basically, some people got salmonella due to poor farming practices, so the government decided we needed to be protected from the evils of raw almonds.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense! Right around that time, there were e coli/salmonella issues with tomatoes and spinach, but I don't see a mandate for pasteurizing those. I think with the almonds, they are just not telling the consumer and hoping they don't notice. Obviously we'd notice if the USDA randomly started cooking all our veggies.

Sorry - end derail
