Top 4 pictures I think are all the same boy most likely.
I think the 3 of the other boy (the set where you said the middle is your great grandfather) are likely all the same person, but it is possible it is just familial resemblance. I am really unsure about the women, but I can see resemblance between them.

Those are so cool. I think you matched them up quite well. What a treasure to have though. too bad no one labeled them before.

Re: Old family photos, do you think this is the same person?
My laptop screen has issues so I could be wrong but I think in the row of three little boys the boy on the far right has hanging earlobes while the boy in the middle has attached earlobes.
Also on ears, the young woman on the left appears to have a very different shape to the inside of the ear (the shadow is a long oval) while the two other women have a very similar shape (the shadow is more triangular). Her hair appears to be pushing on her ear though so this could be altering the shape.

Re: Old family photos, do you think this is the same person?
Interesting observation about the ear lobes. I'll have to look at later pictures of my great grandfather and see if his earlobes were attached or not.
---------- Post added at 06:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:53 PM ---------- Here is another picture I'm wondering about. Someone posted this on Ancestry claiming it's my 4th great grandfather. He lived from 1804 to 1857. I'm very skeptical. I'm thinking, for one thing, that is an extreme amount of white hair for someone who is 54 years old or younger, and I'm also questioning whether that picture could have been taken in the 1850s. The type of photograph wasn't available yet, although it could be a reprint. I don't know style well enough to tell what time period the clothing and hair styles are from. Any ideas? [IMG][/IMG] And one more thing I've been curious about but don't know where to ask.
