Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
ok, i feel like I'm being really thick. I have small areas on xray inbetweem teeth and m,y dentist suggested flossing.
daily, can someone share what I should be using and weekly or monthly too if necessary. what products do I need? i looked at dr elllie and i cant find her ystem anywhere. I'd love to see improvements from teeth. I may look up lisa's cure tooth decay book - does it do overall teeth care?

Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
Wow, this is fabulous information! I just had a cleaning yesterday and the dentist found a couple small cavities between my teeth in an xray. I'll definitely be trying out some of these things to hopefully take care of them.

Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
We've been using Weleda for a couple of months and I have to agree, its made a huge difference in my whole families teeth. we ran out once and i bought the kids some Tom's without flouride and another time kiss my face for kids with flouride(i try to never do flouride but thats all i could find and i didnt have any clay), and whoa, i could tell the difference, their teeth started darkening and their breath didnt smell as fresh. As soon as they went back to weleda their teeth started brightening again and looking cleaner in the mornings right when they wake up. Weleda rocks! LOL

Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
Weleda is cheap on Vitacost.com too! It's over $5 at our HFSs but there you can get it for close to 3.50, maybe cheaper, can't quite remember. I stock up though when it's time to order!

Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
This is so cool! I didn't even realize that tooth remineralizing was something that could be done. I have a couple of starter cavities and I don't want them to turn into full-blown ones. I'll have to try the Weleda and zylitol.

Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
Just to re-iterate, this is what I did:
Cal-mag supplementation (1000 mg cal, 500 mg mag). No sodas. None at all. Ever. Flossing "as needed." Whenever my gums feel icky, whenever there's something stuck inbetween my teeth. Listerine mouth wash "as needed". The regular old "cool mint" variety, not their whitening or weird formulas. The point is germ killing liquid swished all around. Whenever my mouth feels weird or stinky or less than sparkling clean after brushing. Weleda toothpaste. Which I rarely to never sprinkle xylitol on. I have very sensitive teeth, and thin enamel. Two adult molars came through missing parts of their enamel even. For my children: As much calcium and magnesium and vit D foods as I can get into them. No sodas. None at all. Very limited juice (as in once every couple of weeks.) Weleda tooth gel, with xylitol sprinkled on top. |

Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
How instrumental do you feel the Weleda brand of toothpaste is to the remineralization? Or is just important because it's non-flouride?

Re: My teeth are remineralizing.
It has calcium in it, and studies show that the amount of calcium in saliva matters in tooth health. Few toothpastes have calcium.
