Re: Am I The Only One Afraid of Snappis?
I stabbed myself with a the pins a few too many times...I'll stick with snappies as long as you get the tension right they stay put great. they are the only reason I decided to use Prefolds full time...they are much more underwhelming than pins ...we did have one incident when dd2 was a baby dh was changing her diaper and left the snapping by her kickjg feet and she some how cut her foot on it. but I remember when my brother was 11 mos old (I was almost 4) and my Mom caught him w a pin

Re: Am I The Only One Afraid of Snappis?
Are snappi's like nappy-nippas? http://www.babykind.co.uk/nappyessentials.htm#nippa
Because yeah, they scare the bananas outta me! Not because I was scared of hurting T he never got hurt. But I've poked and scratched myself with those things FAR too much. The last time, as I was stretching it out to attatch it on the second side, T wriggled, it 'pinged' off the first side taking a chunk out of the pad of my finger. It took weeks to heal, and was soooo painful But I'm not sure pins seem much of a better idea

Re: Am I The Only One Afraid of Snappis?
I have never used pins, and mostly use pocket diapers but when I do use prefolds I did like my snappis, they never seemed to mess with the diaper fabric and I never hurt me or baby with them.

Re: Am I The Only One Afraid of Snappis?
How are you guys cutting yourselves with Snappis? I've got pretty delicate skin, and the worst I've managed is faint scratches. Well, other than trying to diaper with wet hands and whacking myself in the face with a run away Snappi. Ouch.

I slipped as I was pulling it across and sliced my thumb.
