Re: What's for dinner in April?
It's DS1's birthday, and he requested chicken and dumplings for dinner. I have a quinoa chocolate cake for dessert.

Re: What's for dinner in April?
I'm not feeling well, and so DH is cooking pizza for us. DH knows 3 "recipes" and pizza dough is new to him. I hear him say downstairs "I hope you know what we are doing, because I don't." and "C! Don't eat the pepperoni! I need that!" I thought both things were said to C, but I asked him, and he said he was talking to the mixer for the first one.
He also used the entire recipe to make one pizza - it can make up to 3 crusts for me. Evidently we are having a thick crust pizza tonight. I have no idea what toppings are on this thing. Oh, and at one point while I was giving a few instructions, he said "and how long does this take?" me: "about 45 min start to finish" him: "So about 2.5 hours for me. Ok. Let's do this!"

Re: What's for dinner in April?
We had leftover chicken and dumplings. I love it when I don't have to cook.

we had store bought burgers and store bought fries, sugar snap peas and cucumbers. About as close as it gets to not cooking because I was headed out the door for happy hour with friends

Re: What's for dinner in April?
Quite good! Somehow the crust was baked all the way through. I have trouble with that sometimes, even with my "thin crust." The use of fresh cilantro (stem and all) was an interesting choice. My only critique was maybe to oil the pizza stone before baking next time so the pizza doesn't stick. (ours is newer and not seasoned very well yet )
