What can I put in sandwhiches besides . .
Tuna salad (avoiding the mercury)
Chicken salad (two of my kids won't eat it) peminto cheese (none of my kids will eat it) Sandwhich meat/coldcuts (kids won't eat it, and avoiding nitrates) PBJ (this is the ONLY thing they WILL eat in a sandwhich) Is there anything else I can put in a sandwhich? That kids will eat? That doesn't cost a fortune? HEEEEEELLLLPPPP!!! |

Re: What can I put in sandwhiches besides . .
Since the kids won't eat cold cuts they might not like this either, but we cook turkey or chicken breasts (or make roast beef) and cut them ourselves to put on sandwiches. I think this avoids the nitrates.

Re: What can I put in sandwhiches besides . .
egg salad ( some love it, some don't)
How about making a meat spread with leftover meatloaf and mayo and minced up pickles? Cheese sandwiches? These are homely ideas, but at least they aren't on your list of "no's".

Re: What can I put in sandwhiches besides . .
I always cook the chicken and beef myself to avoid at least some of the nasties.

Nutella and Peanut Butter OK, that's more of a dessert.

Re: What can I put in sandwhiches besides . .
I ate Nutella sandwiches for lunch growing up. Italians consider that a meal, not dessert. Chocolate is healthy.

Re: What can I put in sandwhiches besides . .
My kids beg for Nutella sandwiches (cooked like grilled cheese, but with cinnamon and butter.) We try to do them as snacks rather than meals, but its good to know that some people consider it a meal
