I have a feeling I wouldn't be as worried about GCM moms coming over as I am about others.

OK, well, the downstairs portion today of my house is not too, too bad today. It is mildly messy.
But the upstairs looks like a bomb went off.
Seriously, if anyone wanted to feel better about their home, they could look at my entire upstairs and feel so much better.
I have got to do something about it!!
But I am sooooo tired and I have errands to run today.
I guess I can enlist the children's help for 15 min or so to at least pick up clothes and stuff off the floors.....
I have basically two more days to get stuff in good order.

doing so much better here!! Getting actual CLEANING done and over with first thing so I just have to maintain thru the day and have more time to work on the MESS. My closet is slow going, I try to get in there every day and am making some progress. It is getting alot easier to fling stuff though woohoo

Great Job, GotMyHeartFull!!
I feel so good when I fling stuff!
Unfotunately now, it seems like for every thing we fling, we get more to replace it for the baby.

I am feeling pretty overwhelmed today.
The children's rooms are a mess, my son's especially. He is having a hard time going to sleep in there. I could spend a lot of time on it and make it nice, but then the rest of the house will be left undone. I am feeling lots of pressure to get stuff done. My bathrooms need cleaning. DH finally fixed our shower the other day so now I need to clean my shower and I don't want the bathroom to be dirty/yucky when I have the baby. I also am behind on laundry because my DD keeps wetting her bed. And I still have baby blankets/washcloths I need to wash so I can put them with my birthing supplies. Part of me wishes I could just leave it all and go to the hospital so someone else is providing all the supplies, KWIM?
I also need to wash my car as this is the warmest day we will have all week.
I lost a credit card somewhere in the general area of my desk, so I need to clear that off and try ot find it too so I can pay some bills.
Then there are the dailies.

I have practically all day to do this stuff, so I don't know why I am so overwhelmed by it all. It seems like just 30 min here and there and I can get it all knocked out.
I wish I had a cleaning buddy.

I got the house done yesterday (minus my room and laundry room) for my dd b-day party yesterday!!! I was so excited!! Still working on my room, too messy in there to have my 2 yo in there much with me but I can do spurts here and there while she plays alone (which isn't much lol) It will be done, I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel

I SOOOO belong here.

Although like a good wine I am improving with time.

When it was just the two o f us the house was an absolute state, I hardly ever cleaned the lounge and the second bedroom was just a junk storage room. When Ahlai was little I started attempting the lounge as well. Now the older two are in the second bedroom so that is on the cleaning list too. Then Beth came along and she has this oral faxation so I was actually vacuuming everday for a while, does one week count as a while?

Anyway, I'm a messy by nature but it feels so good when the house DOES get done. I find the more children I have the more organised I have to be - maybe we're destined to have a REALLY REALLY BIG family so I can get myself sorted.

We cleaned out the bathroom!!

I dug through the magazine rack and found mags with 2002 dates...and some that were my ex's! I am soooo bad. But it looks good now! It's still dingey and old, but at least it's neat.

And for my son's third birthday, I plan to actually give him a bedroom. For those of you who feel pressured to get the "baby's nursery" ready, I will tell you now, it's okay to wait. And wait. And wait. That's bmy next big project - and it involves a lot of "going through" things - clothes I have been given in bags all over the floor, craft supplies, toys from my ex MIL that ds hates, and basic "stuff" because I have been using it for storage.

Hi all! Just found this thread. I'm a messy one too- though thru years of reading how to improve and Flylady I can keep it kind, sorta... well not as bad as it could be. Here is my confession. We have 3 bedrooms and only use 2 to sleep in cuz the third one is full of the things I put in bins and carry in there where it waits for SOME DAY when I'll feel like sorting it, selling it or giving it away. For a while I was flinging stuff weekly. I'd take stuff to Once Upon a Child and whatever they didn't buy, I'd travel on to donate at Goodwill, but I was spending a lot of time getting stuff in sellable condition and it took too much time for the amount of money/credit I was receiving, so I started selling stuff online. Same deal, plus add in all the time photographing, describing items etc. It's like a full time job with not enough benefits IMO. Anyway, I am stuck with boxes of sellable stuff in my attic. I really want to get rid of it. Yard sale days are too far away for me to want to wait, plus I always have to take stuff to my MIL's to sell since I live on a highway with no safe place for a sale. What do you say to yourselves in order to release things? I remember flylady saying release stuff and let it bless others, but that doesn't get to me. Anyone? I am drowning in stuff here and I'm not even bringing up all the STUFF my elderly grandparents have lovingly given me thru the years. I feel like a museum curator there! HELP!
LOL I had typed a different word for "things" and it was automatically deleted. I never knew that would happen.
