Re: SO what is for dinner?
Ribs are on the smoker, baked potatoes are ready to "bake" on the grill, rolls are rising and will "bake" on the grill too. I think I'll also throw a salad together and maybe some bacon-seasoned green beans.

How does it work to 'bake' rolls on the grill? It sounds delicious.

Re: SO what is for dinner?
I'm going to throw some potatoes in the crock pot before I head to our playdate this afternoon. I might steam some veggies, too.

Tonight its gulash. We were out of town for several days and I am running low on fresh food so gulash it is. I haven't made it for a year or so, surprisingly. at least it'll give Mitchell leftovers for the rest of the week .

Re: SO what is for dinner?
I'm the garden today and can't be bothered with making supper. In fact, the spinach I threw dressing on and ate just now is the first I've eaten all day, come to think of it. DH fed the girls breakfast and I made them quick sandwiches for lunch with some fresh pears and carrots on the side.
I think DH is going to make pizza for supper and we'll have salad on the side... or asparagus. There's more to pick out there I see. Can't wait until the garden starts producing. We have to wait soooo long, then there's a glut, and then it snows. ETA: Last night the girls wanted hot dogs on the fire pit, so that's what we did. We took a watermelon out there, too, and hacked chunks off that to munch. When mommy's busy, food gets simple. |
