sam-e causing nauseau?

I"m pretty sure the sam-e I'm taking is causing nauseau and gas. I only take 200 mg a.m. and 200 mg afternoon. Does anyone know if because it's causing nauseau does it mean I'm taking too much? or is it due more to taking it on an empty stomach? I usually don't get nauseaus in the morning but I do in the afternoon evening and I often take the afternoon dose on an empty stomach.

taking it at all makes me a bit nervous but it has totally helped my achey, ouchy joints and seems to be helping with depression as well so I don't want to stop taking it!

A lot of the time I get nauseaus when taking vitamins on an empty stomach. It's just too much for my gut. I'd recommend trying to taking it with food and see if that helps

I used to have to take my prenatals before I went to sleep so they wouldn't make me feel sick.

I couldn't take SAMe because of the debilitating stomach pains. It had me literally rolling around bawling it hurt my stomach so bad. With food or without.

wow! Thanks for sharing. before I started taking it I had read how it has so few side effects... until I was trying to figure out why I was so nauseaus did I learn that stomach issues ARE a side effect!

I just want it to work for me. Not sure if it's "Bad" that it makes me nauseaus. I'm going to take a few days off and then take only 200 mg with breakfast and see if it still helps my joints and depression but no nauseau.
