I feel like my house is eating me!!!
Does anyone else ever feel like they have reached a tipping point and everything is sliding towards total cahos?
My house objectively isn't that bad. i have friends over and we can function. But it has reaches the point where I feel almost panickie and I want to just throw half of everything away. Not even look at stuff and see what we don't need bit just get rid of half of everything and figure out how to function with just that.

I get like this on a regular basis.
I don't know how to deal with it.

Yes. To me that means I need to declutter big time.

Re: I feel like my house is eating me!!!
I need to do better at decluttering.
I can't figure out what makes the difference, because there is less stuff out then there was a couple of weeks ago, but then I wasn't feeling eaten alive.

Re: I feel like my house is eating me!!!
Yes, I get like that, too. In fact, over the next month, I have a particular room that I want to gut. Just haul it all out and look at an empty room. It won't be that extreme, but I will wish for it to be!

Re: I feel like my house is eating me!!!
Oh yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.
I need to start decluttering asap. I know I need to do it, but I just don't know where or how to start

Re: I feel like my house is eating me!!!
Last night I managed to get the table and island cleared and the down stairs floors all picked up and swept. It helped me a lot.

Re: I feel like my house is eating me!!!
The expensive stuff that we only use a few times a year drives me batty (tent, 5 sleeping bags, ski stuff, etc. etc). I read it was bad to leave sleeping bags in their bags, so they are all hanging up.

Re: I feel like my house is eating me!!!
I worked on the room I mentioned earlier. I probably only managed about 15 minutes' worth, but hey, progress is progress.
And I'm considering rearranging the furniture. That always brightens things for me. Don't ask me why.
