Post-partum AF irregular?
So, I have a friend who has a breastfeeding baby who is 8 months old. She got her first post-partum AF in the first week of June. She is now clearly late and has taken 2 negative pregnancy tests. She asks me if this is normal. I said that I think so, but it's been so long, I thought I'd better check.

Yes. Very normal when breastfeeding. Periods may be irregular for a while.

She could have anywhere from 28-90 day cycles. Once baby starts eating a significant amount of calories from table food, it should be more regular.

Yes normal. But still have to be on the lookout for pregnancy - I took forever to get around to taking a pregnancy test with DD because I was irregular and had used up my pregnancy tests on previous long cycles.
 (And yes can move to public forum.)
