Postpartum bleeding and periods

I'm asking for my dd.

She's 7 weeks postpartum and stopped bleeding at 2-3 weeks. She started bleeding again 10 days ago and is been on and off since then.

Any suggestions for her? Can she use and herbal things to help her hormones calm down?

If I recall correctly, my bleeding was almost always directly correlated to my activity. When the bleeding picked it up was an indication that I was doing too much and needed to rest. Remember, where the placenta detached from the uterine wall is a huge open wound. Too much activity can cause the wound to reopen or weep.

There may be other hormonal issues at play, I am 15 years out of this whole world so I don't remember a lot but I do remember what a dramatic difference true rest postpartum made for my recovery. It took me a few kids to really figure that out.

She's pretty well rested. She started having regular periods at 6 weeks pp last time, just like I did. But I'll remind her that it could be her activity level.
