iPhone users!
How is your battery life?
I charge my phone all night, every night and by 5 pm it's giving me the 20% battery warning. I do use it a lot, mostly texting, web browsing, and talking. I'm pretty good at fully shutting down apps, so I don't have a ton of background stuff running. Maybe I'm off base, but I feel like it should last longer than 12 hours. |

Re: iPhone users!
I don't use mine for web surfing much, so it lasts for a few days on one charge. If the kids are playing games on it, it will run the battery down much faster.
The good thing about it is that it does charge up really fast.

This. There are battery packs that you can buy that clip on the back like a case - I think it's a full battery, but it might be a little less than the factory one. If you still have AppleCare on it, I'd bring it in. I've had them give me a brand new one before for even less problems than battery life. |

Re: iPhone users!
Mine is a year old, and I am at 20% at 2, sometimes earlier. I am really disappointed, because I have another 9 months before I can get an early upgrade. I am on it all the time though..
I have insurance through verizon, so I wonder if they would do something with it. Another question.. How do you close apps out completely? |

Re: iPhone users!
I use mine constantly too, plus if I'm not, one of the kids is. So I have to charge mine at least once a day. There have been times where I've charged it 2-3 times. It depends on what apps we are using, how much data time I am using(vs wireless), and how long the 2 year old has played with it.

Now if she could just tell me how to prevent my 2 year old from moving apps. That would be great! |

Re: iPhone users!
You also want to check to see which apps are using "location" features... That can be a battery drain. And I have my email set so that it pushes new emails only when I open it, that helps.
I'm on my phone a TON for various things, so I wind up having to charge it at least once per day.

Re: iPhone users!
Wow. I had 81 apps running.
Thank you Sara for posting that link. Hopefully this will improve my battery life and stop draining my data allowance.

Re: iPhone users!
Closing down apps completely is also helpful if you have an app acting wonky. I learned the trick a few years ago because on my ipod touch I was constantly having issues with Safari. Dh took it into the Apple store and they showed him. (The other trick to try when an app doesn't work is to uninstall/reinstall)
Definitely check to see what you have set to Push as that uses the battery and your data.

I use mine constantly and I have to plug it in at some point during the day (and at night of course) I have wondered if I could buy a better battery before.
