Raspberry cake?

This is what my almost 4 yo says she wants for her birthday cake.

Would it work to do a blueberry cake recipe and just substitute raspberries?

raspberries are so delicate...

can you just make a vanilla cake and decorate with raspberries?

my gma poked holes in a regular cake and dumped raspbery jello (not gelled yet) all over the top

This might be too late but...

I used a raspberry coffee flavoring, white cake mix and decorated with raspberries.
