Pool noodles vs bed bumpers
We have a twin bed and a queen size mattress pushed together to make one big bed. James has the twin and Jacob and I have the queen. Some how the two beds keep separating, up until now it wasn't a problem. Tonight Jacob rolled into the crack and woke up scared.
We have been toying with the idea of bumpers or pool noodles for a while because he moves so much he edges me out of the bed. Now that it is a safety issue, which one is better?

Re: Pool noodles vs bed bumpers
I have the foam bumpers as well and love them.
I can't quite see how pool noodles would do the same thing and not squish/ roll off the bed even with sheet clips in place.

Re: Pool noodles vs bed bumpers
In addition to shifting around the bed, I am concerned that the pool noodles wouldn't stop him from rolling into the crack again. That was the first time he did that. I can see them maybe teaching him to stay on his side and not follow me around like a heat seeking missile, but I am not convinced they would really slow him down by much. I think they would have worked with Ivy since her movements were away from us, Jacob seems to think everything is a social event.

Re: Pool noodles vs bed bumpers
Yes think the noodles under sheet are more for keeping a child from rolling off edge of bed rather than filing in a space.

Re: Pool noodles vs bed bumpers
In theory I could use two noodles to teach him where his side ends and mine begins. I just don't see the noodles being enough to stop him. I see him rolling right over them like they aren't even there. He has recently started rolling and scooting around the house and takes his explorations very seriously.
