Reporting websites

Does anyone know how one would go about reporting a disgusting website? It used to be there was a button to click in browsers next to the URL that you could use to report it... whatever happened to that?

(By reporting, I mean I came across a terrible website while looking something up and want to report it... nothing related to GCM or anything posted here).

It is a page layout similar to wikipedia... the pages are named after various people (this is how I landed there). The page was about a disabled child and how they could be used sexually, etc, perverse stuff. No inappropriate pictures, all text.

Eta because I think the police would be the fastest way turn get the appropriate number to call, I assume FBI.

I am in the UK, the page is likely American.

They can transfer the file I think. I would also report it because you want a record of that if your ip address comes up if the site ever gets investigated.

Glad you reported it!

Child abuse and child pornography are international issues, these days, when it comes to computers. I'm quite sure that police forces from different countries are used to sharing information about it, because you could quite easily have multi-country issues.

My online report has been passed to whatever the relevant department is. I got an email asking for my phone number (as I didn't see a reason to provide it) so someone could contact me. That sounds good anyway, hopefully they do something about that website.

The police logged the website and gave it a reference number and did say it is criminal... but do not have enough evidence on it to take a step forward at this time. :-(

The police are aware and they're probably monitoring it. I'd they can't figure out the who and where hosted, they really can't do anything.
