Re: Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
Years ago, their cake mixes and the brownie mix were milk-free. It was hard to find that back then. You have to keep watching the box ingredients because that changes.

Ooh, the GF chicken nuggets was the other thing!! They had them on a special buy for $2.99/box but they were all GONE! Idk if they're planning to restock but I'm going to check again maybe tomorrow when I'm out.

Re: Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
I've gotten the grass fed beef before. I'm pretty sure it's labeled organic too. I stocked up because it was such a good price. We still have quite a bit in our freezer. I thought it tasted good, but I'm sure it was mixed in with something else. I haven't seen it since the week I bought it. I wish they would carry their organic products all the time, and not just once in a while! I do love Aldi's though!

So yes. Definitely read ingredients regularly, because they do change with much more frequency than ingredients seem to other places. It's frustrating to have to do each time, but hey, it saves a LOT of money. |

I found dye-free hard candy there last week. Bug doesn't like chocolate, and it's hard to find something sweet he actually eats, so the candy is pretty great.

I love Aldi and I shop there regularly. My best find there has been Kerrygold cheese. It was a few months ago that they had it and they haven't had it since, but I keep looking for it every time I go.

GF chicken nuggets are good too. Fortunately my store seems to keep those in stock, along with the baking mix.
The only things I haven't really liked from Aldi have been a couple of the frozen veggie varieties.

Re: Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
They have this guacamole. The first ingredient is avocado and it's great. There are two sealed bags per package so it's fresher by the time you get to the last of it.
I haven't even seen guacamole in another grocery that has any avocado in it. bleh. I don't even buy ham unless Aldi has some. Why settle? I get their bacon, the one from Appleton that has a cardboard packaging over it. Flavorwise, it's a premium bacon. I think it's end pieces, though, because often the pieces are odd shapes. That's okay because I couldn't afford such premium bacon (on this side of town) otherwise.

I do buy the GF chicken nuggets when they have them (4.99 a bag). My girls love them and it is nice to have an easy meal sometimes. The GF brownie mix is pretty solid. The baking mix is okay, but there are several other brands I like better so I only buy it in a pinch. They have Kerrygold cheese sometimes, and have good prices on goat and feta cheese. There is salsa that is spot on just like Jack's Special but half the price. Love it when they have that! I also buy their rice chex (GF) and I liked the organic aged balsamic dressing. So good on spinach salads!

Re: Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
I'm going to have to make time to go back to Aldi. Haven't been in like 6-9 mos and only at the cheaper one 20 mins away. Haven't seen any of the GF stuff there.
There is a newer Aldi at the town 30 mins away.... in a ritzier town... might be the one to hit up for this kind of upscale stuff.
