Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
Aldi has really expanded their selection recently, including lots of organic, gluten-free etc. products! I finally checked them out for the first time in a while on the recommendation of a friend and I was so pleasantly surprised!
Yesterday I found: Gluten-free baking mix $2.99 for 1 lb. Organic canned tomatoes $1.69 for 28 oz. Organic honey $3.19 for 12 oz. Organic apples $3 for 3 lbs. Certified kosher block cheese $2.39 for 10 oz. Post your best finds here so other Aldi-shoppers can look for them too! |

Re: Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
I picked up a GF brownie mix one day. I haven't tried it yet, but GF brownie mixes seem to be the easier thing to get right.
If that baking mix is anything close to King Arthur's quality, I'll be in heaven. I found bags of sliced apples for 25 cents, or rather dd2 found them. They were marked down so I don't remember the regular price. They have something on them so they won't brown in packed lunches. It would be a good way that dd1 can get her beloved apples even at school when she's too annoyed by loose teeth to bite into whole apples. I found the big Lunchables (dd1 had been begging to try one forever) for under $2. There were these guacamole chips that were heavenly taste-wise, but the crumbs packed into the kids' and my molars and it took forever to get them out. Annoying job X 4, but they are tasty enough I might put up with it just for me if I were still eating gluten.

Oh, I also found organic Greek yogurts for $1.19 each (that was a markdown price). One time a while back I went and they had the Lifeway kefir for .99 each! . I think their normal price for it is $2.69.

Re: Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
I'll have to run down that morning, cook it up, then decide and get a lot if it's good. The last time I bought unfrozen, non-lunch meat beef at Aldi, it was more meat glue than meat. If someone has some information on the supplier that pins it as a good one, let me know to save me the trouble.

Re: Post your great/surprising finds at Aldi!
My SIL told me about that this morning , Unfortunately, we live nowhere NEAR an Aldi .
The GF baking mixes are good My mom picks them up for me and delivers them when she sees me! I also have gotten GF chicken nuggets there before...but not recently (not that I get there all that often living this far away ). |

Msg free baked bbq chips. I love the kefir! And their almond milk is the best price around. I got the gf baking mix and it tastes just like bisquick gf. But they only had it as a special buy and haven't had it since
