Time to strip?
My pocket dipes are leaking after Chickadee wets them. Everytime.
How do I strip pocket dipes? They are Alva baby

is it the dipes or inserts? are the inserts microfiber? i would start with a small squirt of dawn and a cup of borax in the wash and see how they are after that

it's prob bc of the front loader you are stripping so early. i would take them to a laundromat and do the borax with a squirt of dawn then just bring em home to dry.
otherwise cuz i know you have all the time in the world with a new baby  you can soak em in a hot hot bathtub with the borax and dawn and then put them into your washing machine soaking wet

really? hmmm front loaders don't use as much water which is why they can have buildup issues. but microfiber is prone to stink/buildup issues too.

We have microfiber insert/pocket dipes as well (Kawaii). I use Rockin Green Detergent in my front loader & haven't noticed absorbancy issues. The rare pee leak has been either a) the diaper gussets were gaping (sibling diaper change��) or more recently b) compression leaks from sitting in the exersaucer.
What I have wondered is whether there is a point with microfiber pockets (as baby produces more pee/poo?) when it is *expected* to need 2 inserts per diaper as a general rule?

If the pocket themselves are leaking you may need to replace the pockets. I had to do that with some of my Fuzzi Bunz (many years ago) which is why I finally switched to prefolds and covers. IME, when diapers need to be stripped they stink, not leak.

hmmm, compression leaks. She most often leaks when I'm wearing her.
I also am wondering if she's just a heavy day time wetter? She's 3 months now. She is almost always night dry even though she nurses twice. So dry between 11pm - 7 am.

Are the leaks coming out through the leg holes or through the waterproof fabric of the pocket? It could be that, when wearing her, the microfiber doesn't have enough time to absorb before it runs off. That is a downside of microfiber compared to cotton.
