How long can a child go without peeing?
I know, a totally obscure question depending on a lot of varibles, but my 32-pound 3yo daughter has peed once in the last 24 hours (a small amount). I took her to the doctor today, because I do believe she has a UTI/kidney infection (temp of 102.8 and pain when urinating), but she wasn't able to pee in a cup at the doctors office or here at home. She is not drinking a whole lot of fluids (no matter how hard I try) but she has had at least 30-40 oz in the course of the last 8 hours or so. The doctor didn't seemed too concerned about her peeing so little, but I can't imagine not going pee every few hours? Am I being a worry wort? Thoughts, suggestions...
