Re: Activity ideas during worship that are not electronic?
My 9 yo brings his Bible and looks up the passages the pastor mentions.
We go in with the expectation that he will be sharing one thing he learned, a question the sermon raised or how he thought it might apply to his life. Having something as a goal helped him. We talk about it at lunch when we get home. He also brings a little journal and writes words that stand out to him. Sometime they have meaning like "Grace is enough" and sometimes its because he doesn't know what they mean, "redemtption". It's really helped. He also draws pictures of the story in his notebook. I am a huge doodler. Even my daily to-do sheet has doodles on it. It helps me focus and listen. |
