Christmas Day Breakfast
I know we have a Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner thread going on, and a few people have touched on breakfast, but since each meal is so different, I wanted to start one specifically for breakfast.
What are you preparing and serving for breakfast for Christmas morning? Links to recipes is always welcome. Do you have any Christmas breakfast traditions?

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
We don't have any traditions but we are celebrating Christmas tomorrow in our house and we are having pancakes made with applesauce and bacon.

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
I'm making a breakfast casserole, and probably caving and buying muffins or similar.
I dislike spending the day in the kitchen. |

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
I cook Christmas day breakfast for both sets of our parents, grandparents, and siblings. I have a pinterest board for inspiration: http://www.pinterest.com/stacyhutche...kfast-recipes/ They are mostly, if not all, healthy/paleo/gluten free.
I don't even remember what I cooked in the past except for skillet fried sweet potatoes and bacon. That was a smash, and I'll definitely do it again this year.

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
I make two pans of cinnamon rolls, one regular and one gluten free. I make them on Christmas Eve (usually around 1am ) and pop them in the fridge where they rise very slowly overnight. Then I put them in the oven before the kids get up (thankfully they're not early risers, even on Christmas morning!)
I also make sausage or bacon and have a clementine at everyone's place. Simple but it pleases my crowd. I used to make a casserole with eggs and sausage, but with one child egg and dairy free it's a bomb.

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
Yum,they all sound delicious
Last year was waffles and fruit and cream. I think I'll put a casserole in the fridge on Christmas Eve so I can just warm it up while we open gifts. |

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
I love crock pot breakfast casserole with red and green bell peppers. So festive, yummy, and a good break from all the candy.

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
Ya'll need to link to the recipes you use!
I love the idea of doing something in the crock pot. Or some sort of casserole to bake in the morning.

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
I think we will do muffins probibly cranberry. I might do french toast.
And we will have the normal eggs and sauage. But breakfast us a huge deal in our housemt children normally eat a snack (fruit while i cook) then breakfast (sauage and eggs - girls only eat the white) and then breakfast desert (waffel, or muffin, or biscuits, or apple chrisp) every day. So Christmas morning won't be that different.

Re: Christmas Day Breakfast
We have cinnamon buns as well. It was DH's family's tradition and he basically insists upon it.
