I can't believe I forgot to turn it on!
Yep. I forgot. I made stew in the crockpot this morning before we went out for the day, came home, and realized I never turned it on.
It's supposed to cook on low for 6 - 8 hours. I turned it on high at 1:15. If I cook it for four hours on high, will that work? |

That has happened to me to many times Also we have a bad outlet in our new place and I plugged in the crockpot only to find it didn't cook.

Re: I can't believe I forgot to turn it on!
Oh so glad it turned out...
Here is my worst: I had a very expensive roast which I was expecting to be our "meat" for the rest of the week! It was huge and organic, pastured, hormone-free - blah blah, from a farmer here in town. I threw it in the crock pot with a little beer and onions and left for the day. We came home to a "funky" smell. Turns out there was a layer of plastic wrap around the meat that I couldn't see when I tipped it out of the outside package. I may have cried about that. |
