We just had another one when we (I) felt ready. Our spacings are 36, 36, and 34 months (yes, three of my four kids have b-days in the same month). As for being done, we're thinking about it. I just don't feel up for going through the whole thing again (the ttc, the pregnancy, the birth, and mostly the hard, hard baby stage). Ds is 2 now and I am enjoying my sleep, a bit of freedom, etc. At the same time this July I will have been pregnant or nursing or both for 12 years. I can't imagine being done with all of that. It's easy not to want another one now since I still have a baby. When I don't anymore, we'll see how I feel. I'm 35. I think we've reached our limit on space, time, energy, tolerance for noise, and money. While we could go beyond, I think the kids we have now might be shortchanged. But I might feel differently when ds2 is a little older.
Also, friends, what on earth do you do for an eye infection if you don't have breast milk anymore? Inquiring minds want to know!
