+ 2 bath rugs & 5pcs of something... hmmm, I can't remember now what I got rid of, but I know there were 5 of them New total: 64 And a question... What's the best re-use of outgrown kids' sneakers? L&L have both worn theirs for about a year so they're pretty beat up (too much for me to bother saving them for another child to wear) so what do I do with them? Just chuck it in with my regular all-purpose donation? Or is there a better, specific charity that anyone knows of that can use such things? |

Re: DECLUTTER CHALLENGE: 2009 items in 2009!
Well, I shredded more 2007 papers today, I need one more day of shredding & I can put the shredder aside for while.
And I threw away 2 books. Yup, in the trash. One had some major page tears & the sheer amount of tape it would take to fix would make it a pain to read, you know? And the other was really more of a bunch of loose papers in a cover. Neither was read-able any more. DH will not be happy if he realizes that Ithrew them away, but honestly, all they are doing atm is taking up space. I also added about 5 books to my library donation pile. |

Re: DECLUTTER CHALLENGE: 2009 items in 2009!
The other day I was putting away important docs and found some emails dh had saved from his ex-gf. uh I bet he didn't even remember them being there. They're gone now. Along with about 5 papers of college roommate/workstudy info.

Katie
Thankyou.I think this has been so liberating and its helping to get my house in shape.I think its having an amzing effect on my home and my family-so thankyou for inspiring me to take on this challenge. Next things to be rehomed are my slings-Im donating them to the local breastfeeding support group.I am going to keep my hotsling and EITHER my Maya ring or my CNC MT sling just for those rare times when S consents to having a ride-he walks most places now and really doesnt want a sling ride anymore.I have had requests from my DD to keep a couple for her anyhow Its quite nice to look forward to the future and feel like we are moving on...I havent felt positive about being baby free till now-but now it does feel very right. Long post anyhow went through my computer and deleted 21 items

Re: DECLUTTER CHALLENGE: 2009 items in 2009!
Welcome MessyBee
That update was great Sam old total 71 + 19 bookmarks deleted (I have many more to do ) NEW TOTAL: 90 Geeze, only 90? I know I can do better than that But the big stuff needs to wait until it's warm enough to be in the garage/basement to do some major cleaning & d/c down there. In the meantime I'm planning some painting projects (living & dining rooms are first on the list) so I'm bound to do some d/c as I go... cuz I don't want to move all that stuff twice |
