Re: Yummy dairy-free breakfast shake
Oh oh I just got a new blender and am loving it! Can I share mine? It's probably less healthy...
A chunk of firm tofu Half a blender of frozen raspberries and/or strawberries A spoonful of frozen juice concentrate or a glass of juice Possibly some nuts Possibly some jelly or jam if it's not sweet enough Blend it up! If you find it won't blend well, thaw about 1/3 of the fruit. It comes out between soft serve and milkshake consistency and it is YUMMY! Makes enough for 2 big servings. |

Re: Yummy dairy-free breakfast shake
My favorite tastes like a vanilla milk shake but it is vegan.
Handfull of cashews (soaked 4 hours).....blend with a little water until smooth. Add a hand full of deglet pitted dates A couple of frozen bananas and enough ice to make it the right consistency. SOOOO yummy and simple.

Re: Yummy dairy-free breakfast shake
We make ours in a magic bullet.
1 banana frozen fruit to the top (usually mango, tropical blend, or berry blend) tablespoon or less of ground flax seed protein powder (rice or hemp) for our skinny guy a spoon of coconut milk or some avocado a couple of spoonfulls of oatmeal Fill to the top with almond or hemp milk I read about oatmeal on a vegan fitness site and I'm hooked. My second son has a hard time keeping weight on. He loves smoothies, so anything I can get in one is a bonus. I try to get two smoothies in him during the day.
