lunch recipe that was a hit!
It was accidental really,I forgot to make tortillas for lunch but I had crunchy taco shells.I made my usual fajeta filling{2 packets morning star farm steak strips with 1onion ringed and 1 bell pepper cut in strips},seasoned with garlic, red chili powder,a little soy sauce and the juice of half a lime{sorry I dont measure anything}.Put it in the taco shells and it was gone as soon as it hit the table!Try it youll like it!

Thanks Geegee! Sounds good. I have not tried MS Farms steak strips, but I love their sausage patties, veggie bites and crumbles.

I love those steak strips. I wish they'd take the MSG out. They call it "autolyzed yeast extract" and "soy protein isolate" :/ That is why the sodium is so high. Still, it is such a bummer because they taste REALLY good and are vegan too! Not good enough for a migraine though :/

Right now I don't have anything that will work in place of steak... We use a lot of beans (for example: bean tacos instead of meat) or if we use a substitute then we look very carefully. Boca has a few without MSG. Nate's meatballs are safe. I just have to read every label

Re: lunch recipe that was a hit!
Well, here it is. I'm glad I didn't try those strips. Yikes!
I like veggie fajitas personally. My mom made them for me. The key is to not cook the veggies to mush, just stir-fry... onions, lots of peppers, broccoli, carrot. You just cut them into strips or on the slant. You can grill them if you have a basket. Great for barbecues in the summer. Just marinate and take with you! Serve with beans and tortillas. You could try tempeh or tofu strips that have been marinated. They would be tasty. I just prefer the veggies.
