Smoothie maker?
Do you have a favorite brand? Or a brand to avoid? I’d like to find one for a Christmas gift that does a great job with fruit and greens.

Costco Vitamix
Refurbished Vitamix I like mine with pre-set buttons (smoothie, hot soup, frozen dessert) plus the dial 1-10

Re: Smoothie maker?
We have a ninja blender with an individual smoothie attachment. My kids make smoothies all the time. It's the perfect size for an individual

Re: Smoothie maker?
I bought my dd a little personal blender. I think it is a nutribullet, but I am not sure. She loves it, and it makes it easy for her to take smoothies on the go.
I love my vitamix, but I have heard ninjas are good.

Re: Smoothie maker?
I have a Blendtec and while it is really good at pulverizing banana chunks, I’m not sure I’d recommend it. We have had problems with jars not lasting and sometimes the little plastic piece in the middle of the lid pops out and gets smoothie everywhere.

Re: Smoothie maker?
I have a vitamix and we have used it regularly for about 10 years with no issues. My dd puts it to hard use because she likes her smoothies THICK.

Re: Smoothie maker?
I have a blendtec and I really like it. I don’t like smoothies but it makes great raw applesauce and nut butter and I like making tomato sauce without having to seed things. My friend has a vitamin and loves it but the tamper skeeves me out and my mom had one so it’s a bad association. I saw a comparison review recently and I think it just comes down to personal preferences. They both have pros and cons.
Blendtec also has a personal blender cup that you can put disposable cups in so that you can make smoothies for on the go without making a mess in the blender. |

Re: Smoothie maker?
My Vitamix is about 11 years old and still going. The warranty is 7 years, I believe. They sent me a new cannister thing for free after my warranty had expired. I called them about ordering a new one as our house sitter put it in the dishwasher multiple times and it was never the same after that. She just sent me a new one for free.
