Default How long does Dr Bronners keep?

I have a bottle of Dr Bronners that I bought for S as a newborn 4 years ago and there is still half left.

It smells ok but I was wondering what kind of shelf life it has and if I need to buy a new bottle in April for Sproglet?

That's an interesting question. I don't have any definitive answer for you, but I have never thought of soap as going bad. I'd say if there's no mold in it, and it's still clear, I'd use it as a soap.

But, just because I'm saying "I'd use it," I have to add that I actually wouldn't use it on a baby because it's still a harsh soap. But I hardly use any products on babies anyway. Maybe for washing hands? (Well no, it's just me, but I'd just use a wet cloth for baby hands!)

Do you have any alternative products you would recommend instead?

I don't use it often on my babies (hence still having half a bottle left after 4 years) but my babies have all had bad reflux and sometimes no amount of plain water will shift the smell in their creases

Well, when you need soap, you need soap! So I would use it!
